It's Darkening

I always forget how early it gets dark once the clocks go back.

Darkness is so odd.
Sometimes it's really nice and velvety and comforting and infinite,
but sometimes it's oppressive and clammy and depressing.
The latter is how I feel it is right now.
The darkness is intensifying my already dark mood...

"Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." ------ Edgar Allan Poe

"Character, like a photograph, develops in darkness." ------ Yousuf Karsh

"Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it." ------ Terry Pratchett
